How to Build a Quality House on Minecraft: Part One

The Design

This design was inspired by many other houses I have seen over my time playing Minecraft, аlthоugh I hаvеn't seen many houses with оvеrhаngѕ, and so I have come up with a design that has an overhang. Your bedroom will be inside this overhang. This is a complete guide on how to build a quality house on Minecraft which looks nice in snowy areas of Minecraft аlthоugh it is just as good anywhere else. The guide will be split up into two sections as it is quite a big guide.

Step One

Find or clear a flat area of land, that you can build on. The width of the house will be 18 blocks wide. The measurements are on the picture it is just stone and oak logs for the base.

Step Two

Now build up the logs three, so it is four high in total. Hоwеvеr for the door you need to build it two high with a log in the middle, as shown in the picture.

Step Three

Now you want to put glass 3 high in both sides of the door then miss out one section then put a section of glass then miss one out and so on аlthоugh the top left corner must be left with two clear as the stairs will be put here and glass does not look good with stairs there.

Step Four

Now put wooden planks in the remaining sections.

Step 5

Put one layer of wooden planks all the way around the wall.

Step Six

Clear one layer of dirt in of the floor including the doorway and fill the space with wooden planks.

Step Seven

You now want to put the stairs in at the bottom left corner of your house starting at the log going up three high. Then turn right and go two high so it is level with the top of your house so far.

Step Eight

Now you need to put the second floor in so just fill in the floor making sure you leave space for when going up the stairs.

Step Nine

This is where you put the overhang in of your house, you need to put it so that it is the same as mine. The dimensions are 10 by 8 blocks. Pay attention to the picture for where to start and finish!

Step Ten

Put in the support for the overhang with more wooden planks.

Step Eleven

Start putting glass one in from the edge and build up one every layer so you have two at the top. If you have one at the top you have got the measurements wrong and you need to correct this.
